What makes SignBridge unusually privacy-respecting

• We never store video. The camera processes hand position locally on your device. Only abstract numerical hand-position data is transmitted, and only when you choose to contribute.
• Contributions are anonymous by default. No name, no email, no account is required to contribute.
• Your face is never recorded. The on-device model only extracts hand and skeletal landmarks — the camera frames themselves never leave the device.

What we collect

• Anonymized landmark data when you choose to contribute a sign. This is a JSON object containing approximately 75 numerical 3-D coordinates per video frame. It contains no images, no audio, no identifying biometric features.
• An anonymous device identifier generated locally on first launch, used to deduplicate contributions and award rewards. Not linked to any account or personal information.
• Email address, only if you voluntarily provide one to claim a reward tier. Used solely to send your reward code at launch.
• Crash and diagnostic logs, only with your explicit opt-in. Contains no personal data.

What we don’t collect

• Video, photos, or images from the camera.
• Audio or microphone recordings.
• Your face, voice, or other biometric identifiers.
• Location, contacts, calendar, or other phone data.
• Browsing history or device fingerprints for advertising.

Where the data lives

Contributions are stored on Cloudflare R2 (object storage in the United States). Email addresses, when provided, are stored alongside in a separate, more restricted prefix.

Who has access

Skyline Vis personnel only, restricted to those working on model training, quality assurance, or user support. We do not sell data, license it to third parties, or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

• Contribution data: retained indefinitely for ongoing model training. You can request deletion at any time.
• Email addresses: retained until you request deletion, or until SignBridge is sunset, whichever is sooner.
• Diagnostic logs: 90 days, automatic deletion thereafter.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar)

• Right to access: email us and we’ll send a copy of any data tied to your device identifier and email.
• Right to deletion: email us and we’ll remove your contributions and email from R2.
• Right to portability: on request, we’ll export your data in JSON format.
• Right to opt out of sale of personal information: we don’t sell personal information, so this is the default.

Children’s privacy

SignBridge is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not contribute. If a minor (under 18) wishes to contribute, parental or guardian consent is required. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be announced in the app and via email to anyone who has provided one. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
